On March 15th at Angers, CAVTAT finished second in a flat race on 2100m (a mile and 2 ½ furlongs), ridden by Jérôme Cabre.
He jumped well out of the stalls, found himself in the lead, but didn’t pull and was very easy and relaxed. He performed a good finishing straight and missed the win by little.
Nothing to regret: it is sometimes better to be second at the beginning of the year because you are not penalized for the future entries.
Douglas McMillan’s horse is a 3 year-old thoroughbred by Doctor Dino out of Steadfast.
