…we could run her over jumps!!
FARAFRA ran Prix Glorieuse: a flat race (Gr II) over 2600m (a mile and 5 furlongs) for 4 and 5 year-olds. It was at Saint-Cloud on October 2nd and she was ridden by Pierre Charles Boudot. She finished 4th (not beaten by much for the 3rd place).
Why talking about running over jumps? First of all because of her pedigree, she comes from a family who succeeded particularly well over jumps, with
some famous horses…and secondly, she is a one pace filly, she can’t accelerate in the last furlongs… and as Pierre Charles said: “she would certainly be
a very good filly over jumps”! But we won’t run her over hurdles because her breeder wants to keep her as a broodmare. He asked us to keep her on the
flat because she is the last one of her family and of course it is far more risky over jumps!!
